Being GREEN is a key factor and objective within most organisations today. A strong focus on the carbon footprint and sustainability, the ‘greenness’ of any item; and it to be re-used and recycled.
Offering a large range of recycled goods, from items made from old plastic – to recycled Xerox paper. Which is much better for the environment. We are mindful of our actions both personally and professionally. Consequently more and more individuals and organisations want to know the ‘trail’ of the items they buy. Where they originate, travel and their existence after use. For example, we recycle empty ink/toner cartridges to be re-used abroad rather than ending in landfill. Recycle all cardboard. Plus we have re-assessed our delivery routes reducing our carbon print.
However – have you thought about the impact of furniture and larger consumables? In this age we feel strongly that the term “re-use” and “Re-configure” is under-valued.
According to the waste hierarchy (Reduce – Re-use – Recycle) we find we are working with customers to take a fresh look at the items they already use; when addressing Interiors & Furniture projects.
As a result of this we are using our Removals & Relocation team more and more, allowing the client to have a fresh look and feel in any work space; however keeping sustainability and budget in mind. Consequently only purchasing items that are required – ‘socially responsible purchasing’.
